Best Monday
So today has been an interesting day. I was late for work but when I got there the coffees were flowing and I seemed to get a shitload of work done. Add on top of that getting all my documentation ready for an apartment im applying for and I was very very highly strung. But things fell into place and the day looked like a good one. I emailed the real estate agent all the details required from both myself and my future flatmate Emily. Then My current flatmate messages me about tickets to the footy, my beloved doggies vs their cross town rivals those latte sipping bondi roosters. Catch the bus back home and chill out for a while when i get a phone call - the real estate is ringing. Moment of truth, I have freakin got the apartment!! Absolutely over the moon, ring emily and she is ecstatic. Head to the footy, the doggies smash the roosters. Now im in my warm bed trying to settle down. Life is just spectacularly good sometimes…

Filling Silence
I am tasked with carrying the torch that represents the life left in the lyrics. It shone bright at a time, now but a flicker in the limelight. One day they will tell me it finally burnt out, and I may care, if only I can bring myself from the nostalgia that fills me.
I am forever forgoing the future to lie in the past; a field still vibrant in the heart but long left unattended by the mind. I have been accused of not caring but they know it’s all lies. I find no joy in watching a part of me disappear. I can feel nothing else, my soul melted, if I could cry I would never cease. I am safe, confident and happy, yet cut off, emotional and destructive. Music is the thing that really matters. Music is the purpose of every single day. -

Beer and skittles - because thats what my flatmate thinks my life is... Hi my name is Matt. I love music, I spend a lot of my money on gigs and never seem to get enough of them. I love summer, really makes me happy to think that there are beautiful sunny days with amazing things to do with amazing people, like road trips to the beach!
I love beer, especially on a hot day, with close friends, listening to some awesome music. This blog is a (mostly) true representation of what I find interesting in the world, how I am feeling, and what I am into at any particular time. I hope you find it interesting too.
